High-Throughput Sequencing:

Genomics recently upgraded to an Illumina HiSeq 2500.  Benefits include a ‘rapid mode’ option – i.e., a flow cell comprised of only two lanes - and the ability to generate read-lengths of up to 150 nucleotides.  Later this summer, we will be adding a second HiSeq 2500 that will further increase throughput and reduce wait times.

As a reminder, we offer full-service NextGen sequencing – from library prep to assistance with data analysis - for the Illumina HiSeq 2500 and Roche/454 GS Junior platforms.  Single lane reservations are available for some HiSeq runs.  Please inquire with the lab for details.

ABI Sequencing:

Our ‘full-service’ ABI sequencing option continues to be very popular with our end-users and it is priced competitively compared to our ‘ready-to-go’ service.  To learn more, please contact Elizabeth Jensen  or call the Genetic Analysis Lab at 206-667-4470.

Targeted Pyrosequencing:

The Resource offers services to support several assays, including targeted genotyping and CpG methylation, using Qiagen PyroMark Q24 and Q96 MD systems.  Please contact Crissa Bennett or Cassie Sather for more information.
