SACNAS attendees tour Experimental HistopathologyThe National Conference of SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Hispanic/Chicano and Native Americans in Science) occurred Oct 11-14 in Seattle. One to the largest gatherings of minority scientists in the nation, the yearly conference focuses on networking, mentoring, career development and training opportunities for scientists in all stages of their careers.

As part of the conference, about 200 attendees visited Fred Hutchinson - meeting scientists, touring our facilities, and getting an up-close look into our Shared Resources facilities. As part of the Shared Resources outreach activities, managers and staff demonstrated and described work done in their facilities.
