Scientific Imaging has recently acquired an Ultraview spinning disk system for fast time-lapse confocal imaging of living samples. The system has four lasers for imaging of blue, green, red and far red dyes and fluorescent proteins. To further improve imaging speed, the system is equipped with two EMCCD cameras for simultaneous imaging of green and red probes. The system is also equipped with a photokinesis (FRAP) module for photobleaching and photoactivation, and with a high power pulsed nitrogen laser for cell ablation and wounding studies. A stage-top environmental chamber is available to control sample temperature and atmosphere.
