New Comparative Pathologist, Amanda Koehne, joins Comp Med

Comparative Pathologist, Amanda Koehne, DVM, DACVP – joined the FHCRC Comparative Medicine Team on December 1, 2018.

Dr. Koehne is a board certified veterinary anatomic pathologist with expertise in PDX generation, sarcoma biology, and phenotypic evaluation of rodent cancer models. She has been working with laboratory rodents for 18 years and in laboratory animal pathology for 8 years. While at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine she completed her DVM degree in 2009 and residency in veterinary anatomic pathology (laboratory animal pathology emphasis) in 2012. She anticipates completion of her PhD in Cancer Biology from Stanford University at the end of 2018 in the laboratory of Alejandro Sweet-Cordero. Prior to completing her PhD, she served as a veterinary pathologist at the UC Davis Comparative Pathology Laboratory.
