Expanded Metabolomics Services

Related Core Facilities:

Proteomics facility is in the process of installing new HPLC instrumentation for targeted metabolomics studies.  With the guidance of Dr. Dan Raftery (UW Dept. of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine/FHCRC PHS Molecular Diagnostics Program), Liquid Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometry (LC–MS) capabilities will soon be in place to perform targeted quantitative assays on approximately 150 metabolites that span a number of metabolic pathways.

Additional assays will be added to the “menu” of metabolite assays offered by the facility as Dr. Raftery’s research identifies additional metabolites and develops assays for those compounds.  Future development of metabolomics services will likely include high resolution LC-MS profiling to use metabolite features to differentiate experimental from control samples.
