The Leica cryo equipment is up and running in the Electron Microscopy Shared Resource and we are welcoming any new projects. The equipment consists of the High Pressure Freezing (HPF) apparatus, freeze substitution system, and low temperature cryo chamber with Diatome cryo knives.  It will allow us to facilitate superior cellular preservation for morphological studies and better antigen retention for immunolabeling work than most conventional room temperature methods.
