Translational BioImaging Center (TBIC)

The Translational BioImaging Center (TBIC) supports and facilitates imaging research for members of the Cancer Consortium using resources available at Fred Hutch and University of Washington in collaboration with multi-disciplinary imaging research groups specialized in respective imaging technologies. This core team of experts provides support for the application of technologies for in vivo biological assessment and imaging in animal models.

Imaging modalities available at Fred Hutch in the Comparative Medicine Animal Imaging core include:

  • Ultra-high frequency small animal ultrasound imaging
  • IVIS bioluminescence and fluorescence optical imaging
  • Rodent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Multi-photon microscope for intravital imaging

More information about Comparative Medicine Animal Imaging can be found on the Comparative Medicine webpage (Hutchnet ID and IACUC approval required for login) or please contact Comparative Medicine.

Additional imaging resources are available through TBIC at the University of Washington Department of Radiology. For more information about TBIC at UW, please visit their website or contact Gordon Roble.
