Dr. Ying Qing Chen is a Full Member at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Affiliate Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Washington. Dr. Chen obtained his doctoral degree in Biostatistics from the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. He was the Sweesy-Womack Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at UC Berkeley and Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Florida prior to joining the Hutchinson Center faculty in 2004. His expertise is in the development of statistical methods for analysis of survival and longitudinal data from clinical trials and epidemiological studies. Since joining the Center, Dr. Chen has been statistician on several Phase III trials: including HIVNET 024, HPTN 046, and HPTN 052.
